Britain is a society in which it is vastly better to be a criminal than to be a victim of crime

This is a brief discussion about the nature of crime. Crime is, aside from war, the one thing the state exists to protect the people of a nation from (poverty is in a distant third). Crime in Britain is out of control. Habitual criminals commit many crimes in the absolute certainty that they will not see jail.
